Jetsprint racing is one of the hottest new competitions on the international circuit. Through the development of the Agrojet it is now available for anyone to enjoy and has become an immensely popular attraction located at Agroventures in Rotorua.
We have a fun team building option whereby the passengers co-pilot the jet sprint boat and have to direct the driver safely around the course in the fastest possible time.
The tranquil farmland setting makes it an ideal location for corporate groups with a range of team building games available and a licensed Bar and Caf nearby. The ultimate combination of location and adventure, making for a truly memorable days/evenings entertainment.
Agrojet History
In 1994, after deciding there were plenty of river based jet boating operations, entrepreneur Simon Short built his own unique water system, and along with fast, sleek and high powered jet boats the Agrojet concept was born. The first course was developed at Flat Hills Park in the central North Island - which after a successful four years of operation moved to the tourist hub of Rotorua.
In 1998 Agrojet Rotorua began operation at the Agrodome complex as the only commercial jet sprinting operation in the world.
It was the catalyst for attracting the other operations that you see here today, Rotorua Bungy and Swoop, Freefall Extreme and Shweeb.
Since then Agrojet has gone from a one man operation to employing numerous staff and having three state of the art Hamilton Jet boats coupled with high performance engines.
The Agrojet course design remains one of the key features of the ride - and one of the biggest challenges. Being able to contain the mini-tidal waves which are generated every time the high speed boat rounds a corner has meant the most robust and reliable rubber lining in the industry is used to cover the entire base of the course.

Agrojet began with the single idea of providing thrills on a manmade jet sprint course. This has been developed and refined over the years of operation, strengthening the operational systems and management practices, which cover both the configuration of the boats and the course. As such the company now aims to bring Agrojet NZ to the world market and take the enjoyment and satisfaction to other thrill seekers around the globe.
